`Twas brillig, and the slithy strumpet did make a NWN2 module…
What is all this nonsense?
Jabberwocky is a module project currently for NWN2 that gives you a playable version of the classic poem of the same name.
Jabberwocky is a poem of nonsense verse written by Lewis Carroll, originally featured as a part of his novel Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There (1871). It is considered by many to be one of the greatest nonsense poems written in the English language.
The poem is sometimes used in primary schools to teach students about the use of portmanteau and nonsense words in poetry, as well as use of nouns and verbs.
What do you mean by “playable version of the classic poem?”
The goal of Jabberwocky is to allow the player to move through the poem as an adventure. Advancing the lines of the poem advances the story. Ever been curious what it would be like to battle the creature with jaws that bite and claws that catch? Well, now’s your chance! You (the player) take the part of the Boy coming home to find the populous terrorized by the mythical creature of the Tulgey Wood. Journey through the Highland Wilderness, perilous dungeons, strange and magical groves, and more in this exciting adventure.
